Intensive Outpatient Program
New Beginnings, the intensive outpatient program at CCMC, provides mental health services to adults in Copiah and Lincoln counties who are 50 and older. We use a multidisciplinary team approach that includes a psychiatrist, social worker, program director, activity director, nurse, mental health technician, CNA, transportation drivers, and cooks. New Beginnings provides services such as individual and group therapy, medication management, psychiatric care, and multidisciplinary diagnostic assessment, as well as free transportation, breakfast, snack, and lunch that is provided daily. Each patient is screened to determine appropriate candidacy and works closely with the social worker, nurse, and psychiatrist to determine an individualized treatment plan of care.
At New Beginnings, our priority is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. Our goal is to provide current evidence-based treatment to treat mental health symptoms and disorders such as depression, hopelessness/helplessness, suicidal or homicidal ideation, anxiety, worry, mood swings, adjustment issues, unresolved grief and loss, stress, and appetite and sleep disturbances. Anyone can refer themselves or someone else to New Beginnings; there does not need to be a physician's order for a referral. If you have any questions about our services, please call us today at (601) 574-7335.
